Based on my backyard, the Robins must have had a very successful breeding season. There are at least 10 young birds wandering about. They have stopped begging from the adults and are finding their own food without much problem.
They are not always the brightest birds though. They will drink from the pond but often tumble in. With a bit of squawking, they scramble out and dry in the sun, looking miserable and put out.

They sure look unhappy! Taking a bath in this hot weather should be fun, but not of course when it’s unplanned. Our Robin has just settled down in their nest for a second brood.
