Wisslers Mill, Ontario’s Old Mills

Built in about 1852, Wissler’s Mill was a grist mill that is situated by the Salem Bridge near Elora, Ontario. Like many Ontario mills, it has suffered some calamities. It was struck by lightning in 1899, losing most of a wall and was gutted in a fire in the 1920’s but was re-built. It ceased operation in 1965. It was subsequently converted to a private residence.
