White-eared Catbird, Ailuroedus buccoides, is a member of the Bowerbird family is found in Papua /New Guinea. It is sometimes seen in aviary collections like this bird, often skulking on the lower growth.

Nice capture! It doesn’t look like much of catbird though. I wonder how it got its name.

I haven’t heard its call but I wonder if it may sound like a cat. It is a Bowerbird and I don’t think any other members of the family have the catbird name.
