Eugenia Falls: Ontario Waterfalls

Eugenia Falls: Ontario Waterfalls

Eugenia Falls can be reached by taking Grey Rd. 4 off Highway 10 at Flesherton.  At 3.5 km. (2.1 miles) turn left on Grey Rd. 13 and proceed to the village of Eugenia. The Falls is to the left and there are plenty of signs to guide you. The falls are in a wonderful setting, especially when the autumn color is out. They are at the head of a deep valley with a long vista of tree lined contours. It is not easy for photographers as their is a concrete wall along the length of the canyon walkway as well as trees which block the view. A little ingenuity is needed to use the cedars to frame the falls.

Tiffany Falls, Ontario

A newly renovated trail provides easy access to this lovely waterfall between Dundas and Ancaster, Ontario. Just upstream from it is the interesting Washboard Falls. To reach it, take the Mohawk exit from Highway 403 towards Ancaster and turn right at Wilson St. E. As you get near the bottom of the hill, look to your right to the signed parking lot for the trail beginning. There is a boardwalk from the lot to the falls.

Tiffany Falls is one of the nicest falls you can visit in the winter.

The falls have a walkway across the top which can make photographs difficult but it is a great place for a family visit. Photographers may find picking out small details can give some interesting compositions.

Recollet Falls: Ontario Waterfalls

This is an interesting falls both in appearance and history. The falls were named after the Recollet Fathers who were the first white men to use the French River while they were engaged in missionary work in the early 1600’s.
