The world's Largest Globe

Located at the Delorme Map Company outlet in Maine is the world’s largest globe called Eartha. It rotates and is 41.5 feet in diameter. You can view and photograph it on three levels. Just off I-95 near Freeport, and well worth a visit.

USS Constitution or "Old Ironsides"

One of the attractions in visiting Boston, Massachusetts is visiting the USS Constitution or “Old Ironsides” It is docked at the Boston harbor and is open to the public year around. Launched in 1797, it is the oldest commissioned ship afloat.

It has had a very long and interesting history, and earned its nickname in the War of 1812 when it was suggested that cannonballs bounced off her sides as if from iron.
