Waterwheel in Black and White

This is a waterwheel from the John Wood’s Gristmill in Indiana. I liked the symmetry of the reflection and thought it would be better in Black and White

The Sawmill Worker

With his tools around him and sawdust in the air, a craftsman is intent on his task. The same scene is below, a bit closer and in Black and White

Bedford Mills in B&W: Ontario’s Old Mills

Bedford Mill, Ontario

This panoramic view of Bedford Mills was taken on a dark rainy day and I thought processing it in Black and White might be interesting.

The buildings date from 1848 and there was originally an older sawmill on the same site. The area was thriving but declined and the town of Bedford Mills is now considered a ghost town.

Quebec City

The skyline of Quebec City from the St. Lawrence River is dominated by the Chateau Frontenac, one of the magnificent hotels built by CP Rail. It opened in 1893.
