Sand River Falls (Upper): Ontario Waterfalls

A gorgeous river landscape located in Lake Superior Provincial Park. Take the Sand River exit. There is a fee ($5.25 in 2010) and you need to have coins. Take the Pinguisibi Trail, and after visiting the Lower Falls, a moderate walk of about 10 minutes brings you to the Upper Falls. A wonderful nature setting, especially fine in the fall.

  1. I would love to visit this area. Wonderful composition with the trees against the sky, and the turbulent water around the rocks – utterly romantic!

  4. Every year for the past 5 years, I’ve camped in Obatanga Provincial Park and we make a point of hiking the shore of the Sand River. Many a great photo has been taken. It’s a beautiful area.
