Saco River Covered Bridge, New Hampshire

When Built: 1890

Builders: Charles Broughton and his son Frank Broughton

Description: This is the third covered bridge on this site. The first built in 1850 was built by Jacob Berry and Peter Paddleford and was destroyed when the Swift River bridge crashed into it in a 1869 flood. The second was built by Allen and Warren of Conway and it was destroyed in an 1890 fire.
