My home town of Paris was known for its large textile mills on the Nith and Grand Rivers. Penmarvian was built by Hiram Capron, an early mill owner in 1945, and renovated in the Victorian style by John Penman of the Penman mills in 1887. It is now a retirement home.

  1. My dad lived in this house along time ago when it was a house, not a retirement home 🙂

  2. Hi Kimberly:

Thats interesting. I’ll bet it was a fascinating place when it was a private residence.
