One Million Visitors!!

How to photograph fireworks

Yesterday the stats counter at Google Analytics which keeps track of visitors  to this blog reported that it had received its One Millionth Visitor. OK, I know there are a lot websites that would dwarf the popularity of this one but consider this. When I started this blog about five years ago, I had 15 visitors for all of the first week.

Snowy Owl

Initially my posts were about birds and to date I have done about 400 posts on birds. The most popular post on birds has been the Snowy Owl above which has had more than 10,000 visits.

Gradually I added a few more of my interests (obsessions?). Covered bridges was one of them and a post on Everett Covered Bridge in Ohio became the most visited in a single day with 9,700 people accessing it one day after it was featured on Stumbleupon.

Its been a lot of fun putting out something every day whether its about birds, Covered bridges, Waterfalls or photoshop tutorials. My thanks to everyone who have come to have a look.

  1. Count me in as a silent visitor to your blog. I leave comments very seldom. I love your photos of covered bridges and old mills. Keep on clicking and keep on blogging.

  2. Harold,
Congratulations on a blog well done!

With such great photography and videography, you have really created a wonderful site here.

I recall finding this site by doing a google search for a dark morph rough legged hawk. You had a wonderful video that helped me confirm what I saw.

Congrats again and keep up the great work!
