  1. Nice shots, Harold. I saw an Olive Sparrow only once, when I happened to stand right in front of it as it was creeping into a wood pile, blocking the view of a birding group in South Texas. I quickly stepped aside and the others got a view too. I’d love to go back there now that I have a camera 🙂

    I find when you are around organized birding groups that they can sometimes feel they have special privilege.

    I hadn’t realized this bird has an yellow patch in its wing until I looked at the photos.
