Niagara Falls in Winter

I always try to make an annual winter visit to Niagara Falls, and not only because there are no crowds to contend with. The spray from the falls creates amazing ice formations, and a fresh snow adds to it.  Add a bit of good light and its magic.

  1. I decided to follow the link from your Faucet Falls page. I’m glad I did. Having been to Niagara Falls many times I can really appreciate this photo. I was there once in the winter too. However, the weather was miserable with overcast skies. And the wind was blowing just right so that no matter where I stood, mist was being blown onto my lens.

  2. Spray is a big problem. I don’t know how people get shots near the crest as it is constant.

    Your website looks very interesting.

    Cheers, Harold
