Guide to Photographing Raptors

I have posted an update to this photographic guide which includes revisions, as well as new material. While it has been based on photographing raptors in the winter, it should be useful in all seasons.

  1. Your tips are very logical and very helpful. I am headed to Grey lodge over the Christmas Vacation and hope to come back with some great Raptor shots. I have a 70-200 lens with 1.7 extender and a 200-500 zoom. That should bet me plenty of opportunity. Sign me up for future tips. thanks

  2. Thanks Bill.

I hear great things about the 200-500mm, it should be plenty of reach for raptors.

I hope you have a great holiday and come back with some killer shots.

    Cheers, Harold
