Grindstone Falls: Ontario Waterfalls

Grindstone Falls is a bit tricky to find. It is Highway 129 going north from Thessalon about halfway to Aubrey Falls. When you pass the sign for Lafoe Creek, you have about 3 km to go. Look for the sign for Grindstone Falls on the right but tucked into the woods. When I was there in September/2010 there were also red ribbons tied to trees. The trail to the falls is less than 1 km., and a nice walk through light woodland with only a bit of rise near the end. The falls are pleasant and natural but only average. It is however a good stop if you are making the journey to Aubrey Falls.
