Elizabethton Covered Bridge, Tennessee

When Built: 1882

Builders: E.E. Hunter

Description: There is a festival called the Elizabethton Covered Bridge Day celebrated every year for a week in June. The builder E.E Hunter was a local doter who was called upon when a qualified contractor couldn’t be found by the County. He called the bridge his “$5 dollar bridge” as he made that much profit from the job.
