When Built: 1994

Builders: Arnold Graton and Associates

Description: The original covered bridge was built in 1845 by an unknown builder and it was destroyed by arson in 1993. An authentic rebuild was completed in 1994 by Arnold Graton and Associates.

Description: Milton Graton did a complete restoration of this bridge in 1965, which he talks about in his book “Last of the Covered Bridge Builders”

Description: It is a great looking structure but has had a troubled past including being washed away in a flood in 1936 and having a roof collapse from a heavy snow load in 1982.

Description: The weight of the trains needed a substantial structure and this bridge has a massive burr arch sandwiched between two heavy Town trusses.
