Sheffield Covered Bridge, Massachusetts

Description: Unlike some of its neiboring states like Vermont which have a great many surviving Covered Bridge, Massachusetts only has 6 and only a couple older than 50 years.

This is a 93 foot span crossing the Housatonic River in the town of Sheffeild

Bash Bish Falls, Massachusetts

Massachusett’s highest waterfall, Bash Bish Falls is located in Mounts Washington State Forest down near the borders of New York and Connecticut. It is actually a double waterfall after being split by a huge boulder and then reflected on lower rocks back again.

There are two trails to the falls, asteep upper trail and a lower trail which is a bit longer but a lot more level.

Warning: It can be dangerous to view and photograph waterfalls. The footing can be wet and slippery, and an accidental fall can result in serious injury or death. Note also that many sections of waterfalls are on private property. Please respect these rights.

Campbells Falls: Massachusetts Waterfalls

Near New Marlborough, Massachusetts and the Conneticut border, the falls are an easy walk from the parking lot. They are in a very natural setting and very photogenic.

The Bridge of Flowers, Massachusetts

Located in Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts, the Bridge of Flowers started out as a trolley bridge in 1908. After the railway went out of business, it was transformed to its present form in 1929.
