Chedoke Falls Lower: Ontario Waterfalls

Lower Chedoke Falls can be visited by going from Chedoke Falls and walking downstream or by going upstream from a viewing platform on the Bruce Trail. Both are difficult. I went from Chedoke Falls downstream and required making my way down a rough gorge with no real trail. It can be done with patience and care, and the reward is an excellent waterfall. The images hardly due it justice. The blocks of rock on top are taller than a man standing.

Brandywine Falls

Brandywine Falls is on the Sea to Sky Highway (Highway 99) between Whistler and Vancouver. It is a great looking plunge type waterfall which usually has a rainbow at the bottom. It is a light walk along the bank above and there are other nice views nearby. Well worth a visit.

Harris and Alonzo Egleston built the gristmill at the present site in Ancaster in 1863. It replaced two earlier mills here, one of which burnt in 1812 and the second in 1854.
