Bedford Mills in B&W: Ontario’s Old Mills

Bedford Mill, Ontario

This panoramic view of Bedford Mills was taken on a dark rainy day and I thought processing it in Black and White might be interesting.

The buildings date from 1848 and there was originally an older sawmill on the same site. The area was thriving but declined and the town of Bedford Mills is now considered a ghost town.

  1. Love the feel of this pic – seems like it’s a painting, with the contrast between the rough-textured walls and the silky water!

  2. That would make an awesome lithograph or some sort of etching! Looks so surreal, haunting and beautiful all wrapped up in one 🙂

  3. This looks great. I initially thought it is a graphic. Very good work. Perfect mood and composition, as well as I love the flowing water and details in the stonework.
