Beaver Dam at Dusk

This Beaver Dam was above Crooked Slide Waterfall. Its amazing how much work relatively small animals can accomplish. They take down quite large trees and move them about.

  3. Beautiful light and mood. I have often marveled why beavers tackle such big trees that they can’t possibly drag to their dam, nor can the bark be very nutritious.

  6. Thanks Hilke,

It is strange, you often see large trees they have felled and abandoned. Maybe they just like to gnaw on trees. I often think animals do things which aren’t very productive just because they get a kick out of it.
