The Bar-headed Goose, Anser indicus, is widespread in central Asia. It is one of the highest flying migrants, said to have been seen flying over Everest’s peak.

Such a sweet expression! This must be one of my favorite birds. A couple of years ago one turned up in a local flock of canada geese, probably an escapee. Watching it was a great treat.
