Harris Woolen Mill: Ontario’s Old Mills

Found in Rockwood, it was built in 1884 by John Harris to replace his wooden mill that was destroyed by fire. After a fire in 1967, this shell remains.

Trinity Bay area is one of the very picturesque areas of Newfoundland, and the town of trinity has some fifty buildings of historical significance. It was the location for the filming of the movie “Shipping News”. Nearby, you can visit the set of the recently filmed series “Random Passage”

As you enter the town of Espanola from the north, you will see the huge Domtar Mill to the east. Beside it the Espanola Falls will be seen, now subdued by a dam.

Warning: It can be dangerous to view and photograph waterfalls. The footing can be wet and slippery, and an accidental fall can result in serious injury or death. Note also that many sections of waterfalls are on private property. Please respect these rights.
