Olingo, Bassaricyon gabbii

This post had originally been titled Kinkajou, Potos flavus, but thanks to Fiona Reid who let me know that it is in fact an Olingo, Bassaricyon gabbii. The Olingo or Bushy-tailed Olingo is also related to the raccoon, coatis and seems to range from Nicaragua to Peru. This animal was seen during the day at Monteverde, Costa Rica when it came to the Hummingbird galleries to indulge its love of sugar.

Fiona Reid has written A Field Guide to the Mammals of Central America and Southeast Mexico which is available on Amazon.
