The Photographers Guide to Vermont Covered Bridges is now available

I am pleased to announce that the sixth eBook in the Photographers and Explorers Series is now available. It covers all of the historic Covered Bridges in Vermont. If you are planning on visiting Vermont sometime, you will find the section on self guided tours especially useful. There are 13 tours which cover all of the bridges in the state. Each tour gives step by step driving instructions as well as GPS positions.

Ackley (Greenfield) Covered Bridge, Michigan

When Built: 1832

Builders: Joshua Ackley & Daniel Clouse

Description: This early bridge was given to Henry Ford by the builder’s granddaughter and moved from Pennsylvania in 1937 to Greenfield Village, Ford’s exhibit of homes and workplaces. Note that the exhibit is only open in certain seasons and hours and their is an admission.

Builders: Not known

Description: The original bridge was closed to traffic the the rebuilt bridge was completed in 2003 allowed traffic to reopen. Some of the original bridge structure was used in the rebuild.
