Brothers John and James Thompson, and J.W. Rooklidge built the Newburgh Paper Mills in 1880. The mill operated until 1932 when it was dismantled.

Builders: Not known

Description: It is essential a multiple Kingpost truss system with the addition of two long diagonals which may act as an arch. The
ceiling trusses are also massive and interesting. The three large windows provide a nice balanced look.

Description: This is one of the finest covered bridges in North America with a toe in Vermont and the bulk in New Hampshire. It is the longest two span bridge in the world.

Description: There is an old homemade ladder kept on one interior wall which apparently is there by long tradition rather than any current use.
